CME Medical Conferences

Ultrasound: Carotid

A Seminar for Medical Carotid Ultrasound Training

CME Conference Description:

This CME medical conference will provide an overview of the basic principles of carotid duplex scanning. It will provide pertinent information concerning normal extracranial anatomy and carotid artery pathology. Emphasis will be placed on the examination and interpretation of the duplex scan of the carotid artery. Case examples of normal and abnormal ultrasound examinations will be provided with the opportunity to interpret.

For those without any prior experience in ultrasound technique, attendance at this CME medical conference would still assist in understanding how the exam is performed, what reports mean and what it can reveal. However, the basics of ultrasound technology will NOT be reviewed. Previous Ultrasound experience or taking the Echocardiography CME medical conference course prior to taking this course would be helpful.

Consider registering for the Echocardiograpy and Carotid Ultrasound Value Package.
