Urodynamic Testing (New)

A Seminar for Medical Urodynamic Testing

CME Conference Description:

Designed for primary care physicians, gynecologists, nurses and/or nurse practitioners, this course will prepare the participant to begin performing urodynamic testing in an office setting and will enable the participant to understand the anatomy and physiology of the lower urinary tract along with being able to perform a targeted history and physical examination of the incontinent female patient. Urodynamic studies, including the pre urodynamic workup and interpretation of results, will be discussed in order to identify those patients who would benefit from formal urodynamic testing along with an opportunity to use the urodynamic equipment. Participants will be able to identify those patients who would benefit from Urology/GYN Urology referral as well as those who are candidates for pharmacological therapy to ensure appropriate treatment.
The urodynamic technique will be discussed in detail including: preparing and calibrating equipment, uroflow and post-void residual measurement, urodynamics, and urethral function tests.
