Sclerotherapy

A Seminar for Medical Sclerotherapy Training

CME Conference Description:

As techniques and results have improved, the patient demand for venous sclerotherapy has markedly increased. Over 80 million woman in the United States complain of problems referable to their leg veins. Phlebology has reached America from Europe and is developing into a true specialty of its own. The workshop will prepare the participant to begin office sclerotherapy. Choice of sclerosants, patient selection and evaluation, and equipment needs will be reviewed. Proper postoperative care will be emphasized. Several patients are treated at the course to illustrate skills needed to begin in your own office. Recent published literature has documented that telangiectasias as well as varicosities can cause significant symptoms. Even if you prefer not to advance to treating varicosities, you can provide a real service to your patients by treating the telangiectasias, whether they be cosmetic or symptomatic.

If you'd like to be a volunteer, please contact the NPI offices. More volunteers means more observation and practice time!
