Harold H. Hedges, MD

Harold Hedges received his MD degree from the University of Arkansas School of Medicine in 1958. He completed a Rotating Intership at St. Vincent Infirmary, Little Rock Arkansas in 1959. He graduated the US Naval School of Aviation Medicine in 1960 and served 3 years as a US Naval Air Flight Surgeon. He co-established Little Rock Family Practice Clinic in 1963, a practice that has grown to 11 family physicians. He continues to practice full time (enjoying his 50th year) at Little Rock Family Practice Clinic, Little Rock Arkansas.
He held board status by the American Board of Family Practice from 1976-2000. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
He is an active Member of the Arkansas and American Academies of Family Physicians and the Pan American Allergy Society.
He served on the Admissions Committee of the University of Arkansas School of Medicine, Chairing the committee his final year. He was Chief of Staff at St. Vincent Infirmary 1978-80. He has served on the Scientific Program Committee of the AAFP, has served two terms as President of the Pan American Allergy Society and is a Past President of the Arkansas Academy of Family Physicians.
Besides practicing, he enjoys teaching and has taught over 250 courses related to allergy testing in family practice, allergic and non allergic rhinitis, asthma and COPD. He has published articles relating to allergy in family practice.
