Dr. Kalb is a native of Northwest Ohio. He completed his undergraduate studies, Magna Cum Laude, at Capital University. He graduated with honors from Ohio State University Medical School in 1976. Dr. Kalb has completed two residency programs. His first was done in Family Practice at the Toledo Hospital and the second in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Medical College of Ohio. He is board certified in Family Practice, Orthopaedic Surgery and Arthroscopic Surgery. Dr. Kalb is one of the few orthopaedic surgeons in Ohio to be board certified in both orthopaedic and arthroscopic surgery. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Ohio State Medical Association, Ohio Orthopaedic Society and the American College of Sports Physicians. He has been a team physician in Toledo area high school wrestling and football programs, The American Athletic Union (AAU) and International World Cup of Wrestling. He is a clinical instructor of orthopaedic surgery. He has lectured on various aspects of orthopaedics and knee surgery. He has authored over 100 presentations and articles in the field of orthopaedics. He has been a guest speaker, surgeon and lecturer in 40 states and 5 countries. Dr. Kalb lives in Toledo with his wife, Diane, and their children, Leigh Ann, Danielle and Zachary. Hid hobbies include playing the trumpet, racquetball, skiing, bicycling and being with his family.
