Accreditation

All NPI courses offer AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ as well as AAFP Prescribed Credit.

AAFP Prescribed Credit

These live activities have been reviewed and are acceptable for Prescribed credit by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™

These live activities have been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essentials and Standards of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Texas Academy of Family Physicians and National Procedures Institute. The Texas Academy of Family Physicians is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Texas Academy of Family Physicians designates these live activities for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Equivalencies

AOA
CME activities approved for AAFP Prescribed credit or AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ are recognized by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) as equivalent to AOA Category 2 credit.

CFPC
CME activities approved for AAFP Prescribed credit are accepted by the College of Family Physicians of Canada as equivalent to MAINPRO-M1 credit due to the reciprocal agreement with the American Academy of Family Physicians.
