Stuart Forman, M.D., FAAFP, graduated from the University of California, San Francisco in 1990, and is board certified in Family Medicine. He graduated from the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center Family Medicine Residency in 1993 and completed the UCSF Northern CA Faculty Development Fellowship in 2004. He is the founding member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Group on Hospital Medicine and Procedural Training. He is Director of Critical Care Services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and a member of the Departments of Inpatient Family Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Forman performs and teaches a wide variety of inpatient procedures in the family medicine residency program. He has been an instructor for National Procedures Institute for several years teaching the Hospitalist Procedures course and has been an instructor for the Colonoscopy/EGD and Hospitalist Procedures courses at the AAFP Scientific Assembly. Along with his position in the critical care unit, he is an inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology and high risk preoperative medicine consultant. He is a Board Member of the American Association of Primary Care Endoscopy and a Fellow with the American Academy of Family Physicians.
