Kevin E. Burroughs, MD

Dr. Burroughs received his MD from the University of North Carolina, then completed a Family Medicine Residency and Sports Medicine Fellowship through the Moses Cone Health System in Greensboro, NC. He is board-certified in Family Medicine and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine. He is an active member and past member of the Board of Directors for the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. He is the Founder and Director of the Cabarrus Sports Medicine Fellowship in Concord, NC. He is also the Medical Director for the Carolinas HealthCare System Sports Medicine and Injury Care division. Dr. Burroughs currently serves as Team Physician at Catawba College and AL Brown High School, and is the Medical Director for Athletic Training services in the Cabarrus County and Kannapolis City School System. In 2008 he was named Sports Medicine Person of the Year by the NC Athletic Trainers Association. He was named one of Charlotte's top doctors in 2015. He serves on the North Carolina High School Athletic Association’s Sports Medicine Advisory Committee. Dr. Burroughs has made more than 100 state, regional, and national presentations and authored over 30 publications.
