Billing, Coding and Documentation for Physicians Course Description

How can you keep up with coding changes in addition to treating patients? Today’s medical practices need help. Coding is a team effort, with physicians, coding consultants, and trained staff members each playing a part in this critical process. Proper documentation and coding can increase office income.

Numerous and continuous coding and billing changes, as well as modifications in and federal regulations affecting the health insurance industry present a constant challenge to health care personnel. Those responsible for processing health insurance claims require thorough instruction in all aspects of medical insurance, including plan options, carrier requirements, state and federal regulations, selecting relevant information from source documents, accurately completing claims, and coding diagnoses and procedures. This CME medical conference will help you become familiar with aspects of effective coding and billing. Ample time will be designated to discuss, review and perform coding and billing scenarios and for questions. Billing questions will be answered in terms you can understand.
